Hoppy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! Here are a few pictures of the past few weeks in the Biggers' house...

Family picture on Easter Sunday

These pictures are sideways... my darn computer isn't cooperating. Really... I know how to flip pictures. ;) This is Carter loading the embryos into the van as we were leaving the clinic...
And here are the embryos! That tiny test tube has seven of our possible children in it! We were expecting 11, but someone forgot to tell us that four of them didn't make it to the freezing day. We were shocked and horrified that 1/3 of what we thought we had were missing, but we still have 7 left that are great quality. They are all safely in Lubbock now... stay tuned for details!

Here are some of our Sunday School kids (Palmer and Harrison on the far left in their navy sport coats and ties!)

This is at Legacy Village at our church easter egg hunt. The boys are getting so big!

Here they are at the river in Junction. I taught a three day workshop over spring break... so Carter and the boys joined us for one of those days. They had so much fun throwing rocks into the water... until Harrison fell in the mud and freaked out about being dirty. Carter got them changed... and less than an hour later Palmer threw up all over everything. It was a lovely day. ;)

We had our first IM injection last night... Carter did such an amazing job! I barely felt anything at all! I leave Thursday morning for Boston for the National Science Teacher's Conference. We are taking a group of 20 people through my office... it should be an interesting trip! The weather is supposed to be cold (highs of 37 and 38) and rain/snow each day. I hope we can get home!

YIKES!

Did any of you see the story on The Today Show this morning about the identical triplets? Here's a link in case you missed it. I have to tell you guys... this is one of my nightmares! This couple put ONE embryo in during IVF and it divided... TWICE! They ended up with triplet boys! I realize the odds are low, but it scares me to think about the possibility. What would my life be like with three more boys? ;)

On the IVF front, things are moving along. I had a Sonohysterogram yesterday that revealed that I have "the perfect uterus" according to Dr. Jabara! I told him I had worked hard on that. They also did some more blood work (story of my life!) and we go for shot instructions next Tuesday afternoon. Carter has to learn how to give me injections. He did this the first time, but they were all sub-cutaneous (or sub-Q) injections (just under the skin). THIS TIME HOWEVER, all the injections are intra-muscular. Don't click that link if you're afraid of needles! The next obstacle is driving the embryos from Houston to Lubbock over spring break... stay tuned!
