The boys turned 8 months old this past weekend. I can hardly believe how fast the time has flown by. Harrison also started to crawl on his 8 month birthday, which is a HUGE milestone... :) Having mobile twins is a LOT different than having twins who can lay still! Palmer is not very far behind. He gets up on all fours and moves his knees, but hasn't figured out how to move his hands yet. I'm not encouraging him yet, because it is enough work to chase his brother! Palmer does roll everywhere, though. He sometimes can move faster than Harrison! We also took down their crib mobile yesterday. It was a little bit of a sad moment... they are growing up too fast for me. We left the mirror part on the crib for now, but I have this vision of it being a stepping stone for pulling up on the crib.
On my commute to school this morning, I started thinking about things I never knew I'd miss after I became a parent... so here is a list of a few of the things I came up with. Feel free to add your own!
- taking a bubble bath without having to share the tub with a rubber duckie or two
- having to check your shirt for spit up every time you go somewhere
- "collecting" things in your purse (how many pacifiers do two kids need anyway?)
- thinking of food in terms of its taste, not its texture
- having a night out with my husband without half of our house in tow...
- looking in the rear view mirror and not glancing at car seats
- washing dishes that don't involve using that silly bottle brush
- doing laundry once a week instead of every single day
- not caring if my floors weren't clean enough to eat off of...
- reading books that don't have cardboard pages
I'm sure I could think of a million more... but the bell just rang for school to start. Happy Tuesday!
