Swimming Lessons

This was our first week of swimming lessons at the new Tech leisure pool... it is a pretty cool place! The boys are in the Aqua Tots class with my cousin McKinley (fun that I have a cousin the age of my kids!!!) and one other little boy. Great individual attention! They are having so much fun! I'll try to post pictures again the last day or two. They go for another week.

Vacation Wrap-Up

On our way home from Destin we stopped in Houston to stay with family. Uncle Jay happened to be working in Houston so we got to see him for a little while, too! The boys were too funny telling my mom and dad "I bet you are jealous we got to see Uncle Jay" as soon as we got home! The day we got home we had an ultrasound (pictures coming soon) and attended the Westwinds Brass Band concert at the courthouse gazebo. There is a video of Harrison "conducting" to the music which makes me laugh. :) He kept turning around to see if we were taking his picture, so Carter sneakily held the camera down low to get this video.

Destin Day Six

Our last day at the beach was fabulous! The boys had so much fun fishing with their new Sponge Bob fishing poles and being buried in the sand. We also took our family pictures like we do each time we're here. This time we took them in our Iowa shirts!

Destin Day Four and Day Five

I was too tired last night to post... so here are two days worth of pictures and one video. The boys are getting more adventurous each day in the ocean... it has been really fun to watch their progression. We went yesterday to a water park here in town (the picture below is of Palmer coming down a water slide tunnel!) and the boys had a blast! The video is of Palmer coming down a really tall water slide... I couldn't believe he actually did it, but he wanted to go again as soon as he finished! Harrison wouldn't go the first time but after he saw how much fun Palmer had he tried it and loved it! I also love the picture below of Harrison writing his name in the sand. The last blog entry was written by Carter... I don't know why he didn't claim responsibility for it. ???? We are all having a GREAT time!

Destin Day Three

Time sure flies when you're having fun! And oh what fun we have had today! Carter, Daniel and Dad played golf this morning (and got whooped by the golf course) while the rest of us enjoyed some fun in the sun at the beach. After that we headed to a great little water play area at a local outdoor shopping area called the Destin Commons. And, tonight we ate at one of our FAVORITE places...Fudpuckers! Yes, you read that right...FUDPUCKERS! You've really got be careful how you say that!

Destin Day Two

Today is our 9 year wedding anniversary. We always have fun on our Destin years (every other summer) to have great seafood and even built-in babysitters (Thanks Gran, Big Daddy, Cecilee & Daniel!!!). This year and two years ago CB and I have enjoyed eating at "The Crab Trap" and shared 2 or 3 pounds of crab legs... yum! I can proudly say that I ate more than he did tonight. :) We even did a little shopping for baby girl clothes... it still doesn't feel real. Gymboree was having a huge sale and we found some really cute winter clothes. The pictures below are all we took today... the camera ran out of battery before I could get any beach shots of the boys.
